Deadline for applications is until September 26.
Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has opened applications for the position of Chief Judicial Administrator at the Department of Judicial Administration (DJA).
JSC announced the vacancy following the resignation of former Chief Judicial Administrator Aishath Rizna, who stepped down citing lack of a conducive environment to work with the JSC.
Deadline for applications is until September 26.
Requirements for the role include a first degree in administrative management or law, with at least 10 years of experience in the field.
The role, which has a five-year term, offers a monthly salary and allowances totaling MVR 47,000.
Rizna's resignation comes amid an ongoing JSC investigation into several complaints against her. According to Mihaaru News, she is being investigated over issues related to judges' health insurance and complaints regarding recruitment practices.
Rizna was appointed Chief Judicial Administrator in 2020 after the JSC Act was amended to place the DJA under the Judicial Service Commission. She had previously served as the UNDP's Assistant Resident Representative and as Registrar at both the Civil Court and the Supreme Court.
