The team powers through an 18-kilometre paddle to reach Finolhu where they carried out awareness sessions for the resort's guests.
The Stand Up for Our Seas team successfully paddled across the 18-kilometre distance between Eydhafushi and Finolhu Maldives on Wednesday.
After departing from Eydhafushi at approximately 1100 hours, favourable winds and currents enabled the four paddlers to cover 14 kilometres before stopping for lunch at a sandbank.
Dhafeena Hassan described the beauty of the surrounding area by stating that the team "came across really good looking lagoons with really breathtaking blues".
Dhafeena also noted that the team had spotted dolphins during the paddle.
"It was yet another highlight", she gushed, adding that the expedition was full of such rewarding moments.
Following a 30-minute lunch break, the team completed the remaining segment of the trip, arriving at Finolhu by approximately 1600 hours.
Surrounded by the retro chic atmosphere of the 'grooviest' resort in Baa Atoll, the team delivered an informational presentation to the guests before turning in for the night.
