Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has launched 'faisawear' tag, which allows customers to make payments through just a tap, allowing contactless transactions.
The 'faisawear' tag - a novel introduction in the Maldives - can be used in lieu of a cash card. It can be easily attached to the back of phones or to wallets, or even fixed on to a key chain. Tapping POS machines with the tag allows transactions.
Last November, the bank also launched a 'faisawear' ring series, to huge public applaud. MIB said that they are now working on releasing new designs of the ring.
MIB said that they are working on introducing even more innovative, technologically advanced services.
