Prosecution has filed a civil suit to recover damages caused to a Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) car following an accident involving a motorcycle.
The collision resulted in damage to the MNDF vehicle, with repair costs amounting to MVR 3,780.
The prosecution submitted evidence, including an investigation report into the accident and a quote for repairs at the garage.
The motorist, who was given an opportunity to respond to the charges, failed to do so. Therefore, the court proceeded with the case in his absence and ruled that the motorist was liable for the damage to the car.
