President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Wednesday inaugurated the National Chess Arcade at Hulhumale' Mini Sports Complex.
The president initiated the arcade in a special ceremony, and participated in the first chess game.
In addition to the president, Minister of Youth, Sports and Community and Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof attended the inauguration.
The arcade is the designated hall for Maldives Chess Association by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment in order to provide an arena for chess players in Maldives.
