Mariyam Raahil Naseem (Aaya) dominated the Women's Category in the Rannamaari Challenge, the final competition in the Dhivehi Surf League when it was introduced, until 9-year-old Aaliyah Latheef ended that streak by winning the champion title.

The Women's Division in the national surfing competition was introduced in 2021. Since its introduction until this year, Raahil has defended the title each year.

Aaliyah, who brought Raahil's domination to an end, won the final heat with a major point difference. She scored a total of 11.83 points from seven waves. She scored her highest points in the first and final wave.

She scored 6.33 in the first wave and 5.50 in the last wave.

Raahil scored 5.23 points in four waves.

The Men's Division champion title was claimed by experienced surfer Hussain Areef (Iboo). After 30 years of success in his surfing career, he has also coached at  national level.

The competitive final was won after he beat Yasin Ahmed Nashid with a 0.23 point difference.

Areef scored 12.50 points in seven waves. Yasin scored 12.27 points.

Even though he did not win the final in the Open Category, Yasin won the Junior Championship after beating Mohamed Inaan.
