Maldives secured a 7-0 victory over Hong Kong in their second match of the CFA International Futsal Tournament in China.

Following a 5-1 defeat to South Korea in their opening match on November 5, Maldives bounced back with a strong performance at Yinchuan Gymnasium.

Under the guidance of Uzbekistan's Farooq Zakirov, who led the Maldives to the South Asian Futsal Championship title earlier this year, the national team controlled the match from the beginning to claim their first three points of the tournament.

Ishan Ibrahim (Sattu), opened the scoring in the seventh minute and went on to score twice.

Midfielder Mohamed Saad Nizar, making his debut for the national team, also scored twice, while Shanaan Rashad added two goals.

Maldives' seventh goal came late in the match through an own goal by a Hong Kong player.

Hosts China defeated Hong Kong 4-0 during their opening match.
