TC Sports Club has won against Dhihdhoo with a 1-0 score in today's Dhivehi Premier League match played at the HA. Dhihdhoo football grounds.
Until today's match, Dhihdhoo had maintained a win streak on its home turf. Dhihdhoo secured points in both previous matches on the island, facing major first division teams, New Radiant and Eagles. This gave the Dhihdhoo football pitch a reputation as a challenging venue for competitive teams.
However, in this afternoon's match, TC brought an end to Dhihdhoo's winning streak.

Seasoned coach Mohamed Athif, who declined from making lengthy statements in the pre-match press conference, displayed a well-planned play by TC which saw Dhihdhoo's defence helpless as TC took control of the match. TC's defence was also far too solid to allow Dhihdhoo any leeway.
Prior to the match, Dhihdhoo Coach Moosa Ibrahim said that the team's aim is to maintain their record on their home turf in front of their supporters by winning today's match.
TC, however, dashed Dhihdhoo's hope as the first half of the match neared its end. In the extra time of the first half, TC's Jose Magson Bezerra Dourado scored the team's sole goal.

In the second half, Coach Moosa brought some alterations in an attempt to strengthen Dhihdhoo's attack. Despite this, TC's defence and goal keeper blocked all attacks and maintained the lead to the end.
Earlier, in the Dhivehi Premier League Qualification play-offs, TC won against Dhihdhoo at the Galolhu National Stadium in Male', that time with a 3-nil score.
