Through equalizing the score at 2-2 in the final minutes of the match, Eagles has blocked Dhihdhoo from winning on their home turf in today's Dhivehi Premier League match.

Dhihdhoo's football stadium has carved a name as a challenging pitch for the experienced teams of the First Division. In an earlier match, Dhihdhoo displayed an impressive performance on the turf against New Radiant as well. New Radiant had a close shave in escaping without losing to Dhihdhoo in that match.

In today's match, Dhihdhoo was the first to receive the opportunity to score a goal. A penalty received by the team was shot by Dhihdhoo's Ghanian player Gideon Teta, but was ultimately blocked by Eagles' Pakistani keeper Saqib Hanif.

This evening's match saw Eagles scrape by without losing through a goal scored in the final minutes of the match.

Eagles reached the end of the first half in the lead, with Mohamed Jailam (Oggy) having scored a goal.

Eagles' Egyptian forward Amir Shuaib Al Sadiq shot a through pass in the team's half near the centre line. Jailam took control of the ball and shot it straight to the goal past Dhihdhoo's keeper Shifan. Shifan did dive to block Jailam's ball, but Jailam shot the ball over Shifan and straight into the net.

Early into the second half, Dhihdhoo equalized the score through a contested penalty. Teta sent the ball flying into Eagles' penalty area, and Keeper Saqib punched it away, at which time a Dhihdhoo player in the area is seen falling.

Referee Mohamed Ismail granted a penalty, despite Saqib raising questions.

Before Teta shot the ball into the area, an Eagles player fell outside the area in the face of a challenge from Teta to seize the ball. Eagles appealed to rule this a foul, but it was in vain.

The penalty granted to Dhihdhoo was shot by Cameroonian midfielder Chia Felix Gwain. He feigned a kick and confused Keeper Sagib, and followed up by shooting a goal via the other direction.

Much of the second half saw Eagles playing with a team of ten, after Ali Ishfaq Hassan Majeed received two yellows and a red card in the 66th minute.

Dhihdhoo changed the score in the 74th minute, when Adam Shiyan Mohamed crossed a ball across the net which Teta easily converted into a goal.

However, Eagles prevented Dhihdhoo from securing three points on their home turf. In the 89th minute, Mohamed Shamhan shot a ball into the area, which Liberian forward Van-Dave Harmon sent towards the goal. The ball narrowly converted into a goal, scraping just below the crossbar and hitting the back of the net.

Dhihdhoo, too, reached the end of the match minus one player. In the 2nd minute of extra time, Shiyan also got sent off with a second yellow and a red card.
