Biss Buru Sports Club and Odi Sports Club won their games during yesterday's Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League games.
Yesterday evening at the national football stadium, Biss Buru mounted a 2-1 comeback against Buru Sports Club.
Abdulla Yameen's (Yaan) goal in the 31st minute ended the first half with Buru in the lead.
Biss Buru coach Ahmed Nashid's changes for the second half improved their playing, with the team making a difference near the end of the half. Nigerian forward Aliu Owolabi Fatai equalized for his team in the 80th minute.
Four minutes later, Biss Buru's Uloof Ahmed was sent off the pitch for receiving his second yellow card, with the team playing the last leg of the match with 10 players.
Even with a one-player deficit, substitute player Mujudhan Solih's goal in the 7th minute of extra time resulted in a historic win for Biss Buru.
Last night's match saw Odi Sports Club secure a 4-0 dominant win against GDh. Gadhdhoo Recreation Club.
Odi took control of the match from the start, with their new player Hudson Dias de Jesus's goal taking the lead for the team.
Ahmed Rasheed scored the second goal, assisted by Muzdhan Hassan.
Muzdhan's second assist in the 36th minute saw Ibrahim Waheed Hassan (Ibbe) extend Odi's lead even further to 3-0 as the first half was coming to an end.
Odi's fourth goal was scored by Serbian midfielder Tomislav Todorovic, assisted by substitute Mohamed Sahaau.
With this result, Odi strengthened their position at the top of the table. Gadhdhoo sits at the bottom of the table with no points.
