Lebanon beat the Maldives 6-0 in an international friendly match played in Kyrgyzstan today.

Lebanon’s Husseyn Chakroun opened the scoring in the third minute.

The Maldives’ game plan was disrupted in the 11th minute when captain and defender Ali Samooh (Sammuttey) was shown a red card for a foul near the Maldives penalty area.

Playing with 10 men, the Maldives adopted a defensive approach for most of the match. Lebanon took advantage of the gaps and launched a series of dangerous attacks.

Chakroun completed his hat-trick before half-time, scoring in the 36th and 42nd minutes.

Maldives defender Ahmed Maish Rasheed then scored an own goal in the seventh minute of the second half to put Lebanon 4-0 ahead.

The Maldives made several changes and attempted to push forward, but Lebanon maintained control of the match.

Ali Gassas scored twice in the 83rd minute to complete the 6-0 victory.
