The Assistant Coach of Sri Lanka's Under 20 National Football Team, Mohamed Imran, has been dismissed following the use of disrespectful language and attempting to create unrest against the players and officials of the Maldives' Under 20 team. 

After the ADC Under 20 Asian Cup Qualifying match, Imran used foul language against the Maldives team. His misconduct was caught on footage which later emerged on social media. 

Football Sri Lanka (FFSL) immediately took action following this incident. FFSL President Jaswar Umar is said to have himself initiated action against the Assistant Coach. 

Some renowned football officials of Sri Lanka have said on social media that Jaswar had condemned the actions of the Assistant Coach and recommended his dismissal, noting that the position he held bears the responsibility of setting examples for young players. 

Maldives has defeated Sri Lanka 4-nil in the AFC Development Phase Qualifying being held in Yangon, Myanmar. 

With this win, Maldives and Myanmar have secured spots in the next phase of AFC Under 20 Asian Cup Qualifying. The two teams will face off tomorrow, vying for the top spot in the group. 

Sri Lanka ranks bottom in the group, having lost two consecutive matches with a score of 4-nil. Their last match will be played tomorrow, against Brunei.
