President of the Cricket Board of Maldives (CBM) Mohamed Faisal has been elected as the Associate Director of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) for a second term.
Members were elected to the Executive Board for new terms during ACC's Annual General Meeting held at Bangkok, Thailand.
According to CBM, the election of Faisal to the ACC board is proof of recognition regarding the importance placed upon him for cricket in Asia.
"Faisal’s re-election reflects his continued contribution to Asian cricket and his engagement in the development of the sport across the region," CBM said in a social media post.

Faisal is currently serving his third term as the International Cricket Council (ICC) Non-Voting Representative for Asia.
"Due to this, Maldivian representation in regional and international cricket bodies is further strengthened," wrote CBM on social media, gesturing to Faisal's representative role.
Faisal, who has also served as the Secretary General for the CBM, is currently serving his second term as the President of the board. He was initially elected to the position for his first term in 2021.
