Maziya's new coach Tomas Trucha has stated that his biggest concern as they go out to play the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge League's qualifier match is the lack of time he had with the team.

Maziya will be playing against Tajikistan's Regar-TadAZ this evening in the AFC Challenge League's Preliminary Stage. The schedule stated that they were to play yesterday but, due to Regar-TadAZ experiencing travel disruptions to Maldives, the AFC decided to move the match to today.

During yesterday's press conference for the match, the experienced coach from Czech Republic who became Maziya's coach on 3rd August, said that he is concerned that he has not had enough time to spend with his team.

"I have only been here for 11 days. One night of football cannot change anything," said Trucha.

"However, in the 24 hours I have each day, I have thought about the players and which players fit in with my strategies. The foreign players did not join the team at the same time either. They came separately."

Trucha, who has worked previously in Malaysia and Indonesia's league, said that the team's fitness level is not where he wants it to be.

"If you ask me about the players' fitness level, I am not 1,000 percent sure just yet. The quality of football we want to play is not here yet," Trucha said.

Two matches have been played by Maziya with Trucha as the coach, which was against Odi Sports and Buru Sports in the Cup Winners' Cup. He watched the Charity Shield Match from the sidelines.

He said that he has gathered a lot of information from the three matches.

The match between Maziya and Regar-TadAZ will be played at Male's national football stadium at 4:45 pm.
