Chinese smartphone manufacturer Tecno has been named the title sponsor of this year's South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship.

The tournament, which will be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 4 to 17 November, will be held under the name "Tecno SAFF Championship".

The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) and the Bangladesh Football Federation officially launched the tournament at a ceremony in Dhaka.

The event, held at the Sheraton Dhaka Hotel, was attended by football officials, regional representatives, journalists and social media influencers. Maldives was represented by its ambassador to Bangladesh, Shiuneen Rasheed.

SAFF General Secretary Purushottam Kattel said the partnership with Tecno would help take the tournament to the next level.

Previous title sponsors have included Coca-Cola, Carbon and Suzuki. The agreement with Tecno is expected to enhance the tournament's profile after recent difficulties in securing international sponsors.
