RRC's Shanaan Rashaad has claimed the title of the King of Futsal in the 2026 Club Maldives Cup (CMC).

Club Maldives introduced a ceremonial "14 Raatha" hammer for CMC's King of Futsal last year.

Sports Minister Abdulla Rafiu presented the royal gown, crown, trophy and 14 Raatha to Shanaan.

Shanaan, 21, K. Gaafaru, scored for RRC during last night's final match. RRC won the final match against STO with a score of 3-2.

Shanaan scored in the semi final and the quarter final as well, scoring a total of 7 goals throughout the tournament.

Shanaan has been playing for United Victory (UV) in Dhivehi Premier League's (DPL) since he was 17 years old and caught the attention of many, with him having played for the U-19 national team and captained the U-20 national team as well. He is also an important player for popular futsal team Gaafaru. He has been playing for RRC in the CMC since 2024.

During last year's CMC, Shanaan scored 9 goals alongside RRC's Adam Nasih (Aadanna) and received the Golden Boot. However, Club MTCC's Mohamed Isam (Shante) received the award this year with 12 goals.

Along with being named the best player in the tournament, Shanaan has been named in the top five players of the tournament. 

The top five players are Shanaan, RRC's Mohsen Montazemi, STO's Hussain Shareef (Only), Ahmed Rahin Rasheed and goalkeeper Mohamed Zuhal.

RRC coach Ismail Shareef was named the best coach in this year's tournament, same as last year.

RRC received the Best Supporters Team Award in the tournament as well.

While HDC's national football team forward Muzdhan Hassan was named the most promising player in the tournament, the fair play player was named HDC's Ali Alsan. The fair play team was named Club MTCC.
