STELCO Recreation Club have moved to the finals of the Club Maldives Eighteen Thirty Classic Women's Futsal Tournament after beating last year's champion Prison Club 3-0.

Aminath Maiha Moosa took the lead for STELCO in the first half of the game played last night at the Rehendhi Futsal Turf. The second goal was scored in the second half by Player of the Match Shahula Thaufeeg.

Prison Club was awarded a penalty with 80 seconds left in the match after STELCO exhausted their fouls. However, the penalty from Fathimath Inasha Adam was saved by STELCO's Captain and goalkeeper Hawwa Shufaiha.

In the few seconds left after the game resumed, Mariyam Wishana Wildhan (Nonni) scored the third goal for STELCO.

The group stage was played between 9 teams split into two groups. The teams that placed that first and second in the groups advanced to the semi finals.

Five-team Group A sees Prison Club in first and STO in second, with both teams securing 10 points with four wins and no losses. Prison placed first due to goal difference.

HDC placed first in Group B with 9 points and STELCO placed second with 6 points. Last year's runner-up team in Group B was eliminated from the tournament after only acquiring 1 point.

For the final match, STELCO will play against the winning team in the semi final played between HDC and STO.
