Sarah Mohamed has broken Aishath Sajina's women's long course 50 meter breaststroke event's national record that was set in 2016.
16-year old Sarah broke the event's record at the ongoing 12th Asian Age Group Swimming Championship 2026 being held in Bangkok with a time of 35.75 seconds.
This is 1.42 seconds faster than Sajina's record. She set this record in 2016 during the 59th Milo/PRAM Malaysian Open Swimming Championship held in Malaysia with a time of 37.17 seconds.
