Queens Basketball Club defended the MBA Women's Championship after defeating Mystics 88-58 in the final of the tournament's 30th edition.
The final, played at the Social Centre indoor court, saw Queens retain the title they also won last year against the same opponents.
Queens' Aishath Inasha was named the final's Best Player.
The women's division Top Five players were:
- Aishath Inasha (Queens)
- Raifa Ibrahim (Queens)
- Aishath Raee Hamza (Queens)
- Mariyam Malak Mohamed Sifan (Mystics)
- Fathimath Shailan Afzal (Cyclone BC)
Shailan was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
Queens, Mystics and Cyclone BC all finished the league stage with four wins and nine points, with the final standings decided on points difference.
Queens topped the table, followed by Mystics in second and Cyclone BC in third. Comets BC finished fourth with seven points, while Stars Sports Club and Sparks BC ended the season with six and five points respectively.
In the semi-finals, Queens defeated Comets BC 94-32, while Mystics edged Cyclone BC 79-77 to book their place in the final.
The men's finals will be played today. LQ Sports will face Nets BC in the Shield final at 4pm, while Kings will take on TRex in the Cup final at 8:30pm.
