Club TFT has beaten Atolls FC 2-0 and won the Third Division football league.
This is the first time TFT has competed, and with them having become the champion team in the Third Division, they have been promoted to the Male' Region League or the Second Division for the upcoming season.
TFT forward Ogudugu Ismaila Abumere took the lead for his team in the 54th minute during the final match played at the Galolhu Stadium yesterday. A shot on goal from Abdulla Muaz (Oto) was saved by the Atolls goalkeeper but rebounded, with Ismaila scoring off of it.

The second goal was scored by Ahmed Suhail (Banbuchu) in the 75th minute. He controlled a ball right outside the penalty box that passed by Ismaila and slotted it into the bottom corner.
Suhail has won the award for most goals scored in the league, along with the Best Player award as well. With the goal he scored in the final match, he brought his total goals scored to 14.
The league saw a total of 21 teams compete, with Hinnavaru Recreation Club being chosen as the Fairplay team.
