Club Binara has clinched the Club Maldives Classic championship title after defeating Criminal Court 3-1 in a penalty shootout, following a 3-3 draw at the end of full regulation time.

This marks the first time that Club Binara, representing the Ministry of Construction and Infrastructure, has won the championship of this tournament. The team had also competed in last year's final.

Although Criminal Court took the lead very early in the first half with a goal by Yaish Musthafa, the half had to be concluded with the score tied. Ahmed Ruwau equalized for Binara shortly before the half ended.

In the second half, Ismail Azhan gave Binara the lead for the first time, while Mohamed Hassan Ahmed equalized for Criminal Court. And after Abdulla Nahil regained the lead for Binara, it was Hassan once again who equalized for Criminal Court.

Hassan was also the only player to successfully convert a penalty for Criminal Court in the penalty shootout. One of the team's penalties was blocked by the goalkeeper, while the next penalty went wide. The final penalty hit the side post of the goal. Binara successfully converted all three of the penalties they took.

Ismail Azhan of Binara was selected as the man of the match in the final.

Speaking to Sun Play after the match, the players and coaches of Binara highlighted that the teamwork and friendship within the entire squad were behind the team's success.

"This is a very united and friendly team, the teamwork is very good. By carrying out practices and everything very well from the very first day, this very complete tournament was won," Club Binara's captain Mohamed Minwaal said after the match.

Club BCC of Business Center Corporation was selected as the fair play team of the CM Classic. Additionally, the best coach award went to Mohamed Ihusan Saeed (Liuby) of Binara.

Two players secured the award for the top scorer of the tournament. They are Yaish of Criminal Court and Ruwau of Binara. Both players scored in the final to reach a total of 10 goals.

Yaish and Ruwau were also included among the top five players of the tournament. The remaining players included were Ibrahim Zayan of Club Avsec, along with Binara's captain Mohamed Minwaal and goalkeeper Mohamed Raushan.
