Atolls FC, a football club that was created and being coached by former Tourism Minister Ali Waheed (Balak), has made it to the Third Division final.
The club was created three years ago, and made it to the final after beating GB Sports 4-0 yesterday evening at the Maafannu Turf Ground. Atolls will be facing off against TFT in the final.
Ali Waheed has previously served as the Chairman of New Radiant and has managed the national football team as well. He has managed New Radiant during their most accomplished period in the history of the club.
While Ali Waheed was living in the United Kingdom (UK), he did the UEFA C License coaching course and coached a non-league team in the UK.

During yesterday's match, Atolls player Zain scored two goals, with Rauhan and Ahsan scoring a goal each.
TFT made it to the final after beating Blue Sports Club 2-0 yesterday evening at the Henveiru Stadium. The two goals against former New Radiant Chairman Ahmed Wasif's Blue Sports Club were scored by Ahmed Shuhail (Banbuchu), who has played previously in the First Division.
This is the first time TFT has competed in the Third Division. Their coach is former national team defender Faruhad Ismail (Farey).
The champion team of the Third Division will get the opportunity to play in the 2027 Second Division. The final match between Atolls and TFT will be played Friday evening at the Maafannu Turf Ground.
