New Radiant's U-19 team won 2-0 against Buru Sports yesterday during the Football Association of Maldives' (FAM) Youth Championship and placed first in the tournament table, with TC Sports Club ending on a win.

At the early stages of the match, Mohamed Ali Azeen took the lead for New Radiant, with the second goal being scored 10 minutes after the first one by Zaki Mujthaba Zahir.

During last night's game, TC won 5-2 against the V. Keyodhoo team. Nawwaf Abdulla Nashid, Mohamed Yanal Yasir and Haizoom Hassan scored the first three goals for TC, with Keyodhoo's first goal being scored by Azyan Adam Rasheed as the first half came to a close. During extra time, Nawwaf scored an additional goal for TC. In the second half, Keyodhoo's Hussain Kinan Ashraf answered with a second goal for his team, with TC's fifth goal being scored by Abdulla Alsan Abdul Haadhee during extra time.

The 2026 Youth Championship sees a total of six teams competing against each other, with just one match left in the league round, which will be played tonight between Odi Sports Club and Maziya. After the league round, a final will be played between the two teams with the most points.

New Radiant sits at the top of the league with 11 points from 5 matches. Maziya is in second and Odi is in third, with both teams having secured 10 points from 4 matches. Maziya is in second due to a 21 goal difference and Odi is in third with an 11 goal difference. New Radiant has a goal difference of 12.

Buru Sports ended fourth on the league table, with TC in fifth and Keyodhoo in sixth. All three teams won one match and secured 3 points.
