Experienced defenders Victory's Amdhan Ali (Andy) and Buru Sports' Ahmed Abdulla (Lily) has signed for New Radiant Sports Club.

The two defenders were brought to New Radiant in order to strengthen the team in preparation for the start of the new season on July 31. Both were featured in the national team during the recent Diamond Jubilee International Football Tournament.

Andy, who rose to fame while at Maziya, remained out of the game for a long period due to injury, with his return to football last season coming with a display of remarkable skill. His outstanding performance led István Urbányi to select him for the starting eleven of the national team. Lily, previously seen with New Radiant, was also selected for the national team on the strength of his performance last season.

New Radiant has already started practices for the new season. The team's coach is Spaniard Francisco Manuel Caínzos, who led the team to victory in last season's FA Cup. He first served the team as Technical Director, and later assumed the position of coach following the resignation of Ali Suzain.

New Radiant has said that Caínzos will soon be joined by a foreign fitness coach.
