In the ongoing Diamond Jubilee International Tournament, the Under-23 Bangladesh team put up a challenging performance against Afghanistan's senior team as well, preventing them from scoring a single goal. 

The Bangladesh team won against both Afghanistan and Pakistan, each with many seasoned players who have often played matches abroad. 

In the match played at the Galolhu National Stadium yesterday, the first half saw highly physical play from both teams. 

Afghanistan dominated possession for much of the match, but Bangladesh stayed disciplined throughout. A solid defensive display raised the challenge for Afghanistan. 

Mujibur Rahman, who received a red card in Bangladesh's first game against Pakistan, was out of the match through suspension. 

Bangladesh prioritized defensive organization in the opening half, with goalkeeper Mehedi Hasan Srabon and his defenders cutting out threatening deliveries from Roman Fazi and Amredin Sharifi. 

Bangladesh midfielders Chandan Roy and Asadul Islam Sakib worked to break up Afghanistan's central attacks, forcing them to abandon the middle and shift their play out wide. 

Bangladesh repeatedly tried to spring Mirajul Islam on the counter, but the counters did not convert into goals. 

The second half, too, saw defensive play from both teams. Bangladesh remained alert and consistently broke up Afghanistan's attacks. 

The last 20 minutes of the match saw Bangladesh goalkeeper Mehedi Hasan Srabon block two strong attacks from Afghanistan. His skilled saves prevented Afghanistan from scoring any goals. 

With the results of this match, Pakistan, who won against Maldives yesterday, is now in the lead. Pakistan holds 4 points from two matches, and a 3-goal advantage.
