The ticket prices for the 2026 Diamond Jubilee International Football Tournament have been reduced as a concession for supporters who want to watch the matches.

With the change, the gallery/stair tickets that were being sold for MVR 100 are now being sold for MVR 50, with the seat tickets that were being sold for MVR 200 now being sold for MVR 100.

The first match of the tournament was played between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Maldives has a lot of expatriate workers from Bangladesh, with many supporters flocking to the stadium every time Bangladesh has played.

The number of supporters for the Bangladesh match who went to the stadium was relatively low.

Many Bangladesh supporters had gone to and filled up the stadium when Bangladesh played during the 2026 SAFF U-20 Championship that was held in March and April in Male'.

However, due to a lack of supporters for the Diamond Jubilee, it can be estimated that the changes to the ticket prices will increase the number of supporters who attend the matches.

As the top part of the southern section and eastern section of the stadium is damaged, it has been 7 years since stadium capacity has been reduced.

During the second day of the Diamond Jubilee, which is tomorrow, Maldives will be playing against Pakistan in the evening. Bangladesh and Afghanistan will be playing against each other at night.
