Nooh Mohamed Dunaim Irushad has claimed the Junior Championship of this year's Burunu Shikaaru Body-boarding Challenge by defeating the defending champion, Iyan Ahmed.

This marks the first time Nooh has reached the final of a Junior category event in the Body-boarding League. Last year, Nooh advanced to the semi-finals in all three major tournaments. While Iyan had previously come out on top when the two met in the Quarter-Finals of the Men's Open division, Nooh secured the championship in today’s final with a total of 12.16 points. Iyan managed a total of 6.70 points.

In the semi-final heat, Nooh scored 9.84 points while competing against Daain Abdul Fattah. Iyan, last year’s Junior League Champion, reached the final by scoring 15.33 points in his heat against Ahmed Jivau Jihad.

Earlier in the competition, during the first heat of the third round, which featured three body-boarders, Nooh took first place while competing against both Iyan and Khaleef Rassam. Khaleef had secured his spot in the third round after winning his second-round heat against Yusuf Atho Ali and Yahya Atho Ali.

The Burunu Shikaaru challenge will continue with the Drop Knee and Women’s Junior divisions. Notably, this is the first time female junior body-boarders are competing in the Body-boarding League, with 10 participants registered for the division.
