FA Cup's leading team, New Radiant, has secured a spot in the semi-finals with a 4-0 win against Odi Sports Club, made possible by Ali Fasir's (Sentey) hattrick.

Fasir put New Radiant ahead in the 20th minute with a free kick. The lead doubled ten minutes later, when he scored again through a second goal assisted by Yaya Bility.

Fasir scored a hattrick with a final goal in the 61st minute, shot from a pass by Ibrahim Maisan.

New Radiant's fourth goal was scored by Alhaji Gero, through a pass from Guilherme da Silva.

This is the first match of the season where New Radiant won against Odi Sports. The first round match in the league where the two teams met ended with a 1-0 result in favour of Odi. The second round match ended in a tie, with neither team scoring a goal.

The two played in the same group in the President's Cup, with their matching ending with a 1-1 draw. Odi was crowned Champions of the President's Cup.

New Radiant has won the FA Cup trophy a record twelve times. Their last FA Cup win was in 2017, with Fasir having scored a goal in the finals as well. He was also one of the two players who had scored the most goals in that tournament. The New Radiant line up that year also included Ali Ashfaq (Dhagan'dey), Goalkeeper Mohamed Faisal, and current Odi captain, Mohamed Rasheed (Hokay).

New Radiant, although no longer on suspension, did not play in the 2022 FA Cup. The FA Cup was then discontinued, until it was brought back this year.

With the results of last night's match, Wednesday afternoon's first semi-final match will see New Radiant face off against Blue Sports Club. Blue won against Club Eagles yesterday afternoon.

Eight teams are competing in this year's FA Cup. Two quarterfinal matches are scheduled for today, with Victory Sports Club playing against TC Sports Club at 4pm, and reigning Champions Maziya facing off against Buru Sports Club at 9pm.
