Netball Association of Maldives is gearing up for the launch of the National Netball League today, the first time Maldives is seeing such an event. 

The league will be held at the indoor court at the Social Centre, and will proceed until next Saturday. 

Six teams are set to play in the league: Club Green Streets, N Sports Academy, MV Netters, Club Matrix SC, Shining Star, and Kulhudhuffushi Youth and Recreation Club (KYRC).

Three matches are to be played each day in the afternoons and evenings. Today's first match will see Green Streets face off against N Sports at 4:45pm. This will be followed by MV Netters vs. Matrix at 7:30pm, with the day's last match to be at 9:30pm between Shining Star and KYRC. 

Previously, the Netball Association held National Netball Tournament's First Division and Second Division for clubs. This year's national tournament is to be held after the league. This will then be followed by the Association Cup. 

This year, both women and men's division will be playing in the National Tournament and Association Cup.
