Head Coach of New Radiant Sports Club Ali Suzain has resigned from his position due to family matters and takes on the role of the club's Technical Director (TD).
As per a social media post from New Radiant, the reason for Suzain stepping away from the position of Head Coach was due to an incident that occurred within his family. However, the club did say that Suzain will still have an active role in the growth of the club.
As Suzain is no longer coaching, his role as the TD will serve in carving out the future of the team and bringing about the required technical changes while working closely with the club's management side.
"The work that was done for the club under his leadership is a service that cannot be measured. We would like to express our gratitude for his work in the growth and achievements of the club," as was written on social media by the club's account.
"However, we gladly announce that he will be working closely with management as the club's Technical Director in carving out the future of the club."
The questions surrounding the position of Technical Director
This is the second time this year the position of Technical Director is seeing a change. New Radiant had appointed Spaniard Francisco Manuel Caínzos in January this year.

With Suzain being appointed for the position, the club has not made any official announcement as of yet regarding Caínzos' term. While unconfirmed, it would seem that this is a big change that is being brought about to the club's technical framework.
The club is yet to give any details regarding the matter.
Suzain, one of the most decorated coaches in Maldivian football, has had positions in football in the past outside of coaching. He was the Director of National Teams at FAM, with him currently being the Chairman of FAM's Diamond Jubilee Committee. The committee was created to celebrate 75 years of Maldivian football.
