Victory out, Maziya and New Radiant playing in semi-finals

Maziya beat Victory 2-0 in the final group stage match of the President's Cup. This put Maziya first in Group 1, securing their place in the semi-finals to play against New Radiant.

Maziya beat Victory 2-0 in the final group stage match of the President's Cup. This put Maziya first in Group 1, securing their place in the semi-finals to play against New Radiant.

Both Maziya's goals were scored in the first half.

Sergio Mendi took the lead for his team in the 36th minute. Ahmed Aiham (Fatho) secured possession within the penalty box and crossed it to the front of the goal, where Mohamed Ilan Imran's pass was on its way out. Mendi caught up to the ball and slotted it into the goal.

Three minutes after that, Naiz Hassan (Dhaadhu) crossed the ball to Haisham Hassan (Bidi), where he attempted a shot on goal. Victory goalkeeper Kiran Kumar Limbu attempted to save it, but the ball whizzed past his hand and into goal.

With that, Maziya won two of their games in the group stage. Their first match was won against Buru Sports Club with 1-0. The second match of the group was played between Buru and Victory, where Buru won 2-1.

Maziya are to play against New Radiant in the semi-finals, the team that placed second in Group 2. The match will be played on Friday, 10:00pm.

The second match of the semi-final will be played on Saturday night, 10:00pm, where Buru Sports Club will be playing against Odi Sports Club, the team that placed first in Group 2.
