Association of the Year and most awards to TTAM

This is the second time TTAM has won the award in the short history of the Maldives Sports Awards. No other association has won the award more than once.

The Table Tennis Association (TTAM) won the 2024 Association of the Year award during last night's Maldives Sports Awards.

This is the second time TTAM has won the award in the short history of the Maldives Sports Awards. No other association has won the award more than once.

The Maldives Sports Awards was created during former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration in 2022, with TTAM winning the 2021 Association of the Year award.

TTAM won the 2024 award against two other nominees, the Swimming Association and the Athletics Association.

The award ceremony was held at the Social Center last night, with table tennis athletes taking home most of the awards.

TT's Fathimath Dheema Ali and Moosa Munsif won awards for the best athletes at the Olympics. 

Dheema also won the Young Sportswoman of the Year, Gold Award, along with the Recognition Award as well.

In the Young Sportswoman of the Year category, second was claimed by table tennis player Mishka Mohamed Ibrahim. The second and third place for the Young Sportsman of the Year were both achieved by table tennis players as well. Zeek Hassan Latheef came in second, with third being claimed by Umair Mohamed Muizzu, son of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

The Technical Official of the Year 2025 (Male) award was won by TTAM's umpire Mohamed Yameen. He was nominated for the award alongside volleyball's Hussain Mohamed and Ismail Jaleel.
