In the ongoing Diamond Jubilee Under-19 Invitational Cup, CHSE Male' has secured the first spot in the finals.
In their second match, CHSE Male' beat CHSE Hulhumale' with a score of 7-1.
In the match, CHSE Male's Mohamed Ayan Shaaz and Ahmed Mikyal Mueen, who was crowned Man of the Match, scored two goals. Nasih Ahmed Shiham, Mohamed Saim Ibrahim Faiz and Ismail Shamil also scored goal.
CHSE Hulhumale's sole goal was scored by Ahmed Aaish.
Yesterday, the match between Ahmadhiyya International School and Villa International High School ended in a 1-1 draw.
Although Villa's Ahmed Laith Abbas took the lead for the team with a goal in the second half, Ahmadhiyya equalized at the 8th minute of extra time with a goal from Ibrahim Avsam Abdulla. Avsam was crowned Man of the Match.
The tournament started last Saturday, with four schools participating.
In the first match on Saturday, Ahmadhiyya beat CHSE Hulhumale' with 6-nil. On Saturday night, CHSE Male' won against Villa with 2-1.
CHSE Male' has secured a spot in the finals through winning their first two matches. CHSE Hulhumale', losing both matches, doesn't stand a chance with one match still left.
The league round's last two matches will be played on Thursday. At 4pm, CHSE Hulhumale' will face off against Villa, while at 9pm, Ahmadhiyya will play against CHSE Male'.
The final match is scheduled for 4pm on Sunday, next week.
To mark the diamond jubilee of football in Maldives, FAM has decided to hold two Diamond Jubilee Invitational Cups. The second tournament will be from June 1 to 10 between senior teams.
