Maldives National Youth Shooting Team has returned to Maldives after winning four bronze medals at the Asian Rifle/Pistol Championship 2026.

On their arrival yesterday, the team was welcomed at the Velana International Airport by Commissioner of Sports Mohamed Tholal and senior officials of the Sports Ministry and the Shooting Association. 

In the championship held in New Delhi, India, Maldives won bronze medals in 10 metre air rifle junior mixed team event, 10 metre air rifle men's youth team event, and the 10 metre air pistol men's and women's youth team events. 

The bronze medal in air rifle junior mixed team event was won by Aishath Easha Shahid and Ahmed Maaidh Mohamed. 

Air rifle men's youth team consists of Jamaluddeen School's Mohamed Shaail Hassan, Arabiyya School's Umar Mohamed Nasheed and Hiriya School's Rayaan Mohamed Ramiz. 

Air pistol men's youth team consists of Ahmadiyya International School's Ali Zaknoon Ahmed, Rehendhi School's Mohamed Ash'ham Bin Shahid and CHSE Male's Haadh Ali Naseef. 

The women's air pistol youth team is made up of Thaajuddeen School's Maryam Zoha Asbah, CHSE Male's Fathimath Faiha Fazeel and Jamaluddeen School's Fathimath Shaima Moosa.
