As a result of Green Streets not attending their Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League game against New Radiant on Thursday, the club has been banned from transferring players in the upcoming transfer market, along with a fine of MVR 50,000 which was decided by FAM.

As the players of Green Streets did not show up for their match yesterday evening against New Radiant, FAM had made the decision to give New Radiant a 2-0 win, with Green Streets being saved from relegation to the Second Division on goal difference. Instead, Valencia was relegated. If Green Streets had played against Valencia and lost with a 5-goal difference, Valencia would have been saved from relegation.

Many parties have been accusing Green Streets of match fixing due to the situation. Valencia has also called for an investigation, with them saying that they will bring the case forward to FIFA and the AFC. However, Green Streets has denied these accusations.

FAM's Disciplinary Committee reviewed the case and decided to halt Green Streets' transfer privileges. The team has also been ordered to pay a MVR 50,000 fine and for it to be paid within 15 days.

"If Green Streets repeats their actions, the committee has sent a warning stating they will take even stricter measures against the club."

The team has been given a 7-day window to appeal the decision.
