The Dhivehi Premier League has come to a close without a long-term break in between. This is the first time the league has ended as such within the last seven years. In previous years, the spirit of competition would die down during the last round of the league.
However, the second round of the league this year was quite competitive. Maziya's coach Luisma Hernández said that the other teams should also be congratulated for the competitive nature of the game that was seen in the final round of the league.
"We are quite happy to have won the league this year. Along with that, we have to congratulate the other clubs as well. They have improved quite a lot as well. Especially in the second round of the league where they played very competitively," said Luisma while being interviewed by PSM.

Maziya's manager Ibrahim Waheed said that Maldives is slowly moving towards the level of competition that should exist in Maldives. Waheed also said that this was seen this year in the league and that the same will be done for the national team.
"Maldivian football is slowly moving towards the level it is supposed to be. If we get competitive matches and if we are able to play, Maldives will improve. Then we will be able to compete even better against other countries in the region," said Waheed to PSM.
Maziya has been on a winning streak for four years in the Dhivehi Premier League. The last time they lost was in April 2022 against Club Eagles with a score of 1-0.

Waheed stated that this is because of the work done by Maziya's management where they had sought the required aid and opportunities for players. He went on to say that Maziya worked to maintain the fitness level of all players during the hiatus of Maldivian football.
"We sought out the partners that we needed and are working on the well-being of our players," said Waheed.
Of the 10 teams that are in the First Division, Maziya has been consecutively playing in the league the longest. Maziya reached 30 years as a club on 23rd January and has been in the First Division for 20 years.

While giving an interview to PSM, Maziya's midfielder Ibrahim Aisam (Tony) said that the competitive spirit was apparent after being absent for so long. He said that there will be benefits to be seen if this competitive nature carries on to next season.
"It has been a while since we have seen good, competitive teams. It will be good if this carries on to the next season."
Maziya is set to play in the upcoming President's Cup. The team did not lose any match this season.
