Maldivian bodyboarder Eyan Ahmed has competed against the 2025 IBC Bodyboarding World Tour Junior Men’s World Champion Louka Zaninotto (French) in one of the heats.

The 2026 IBC Bodyboarding World Tour is currently underway in Morocco, with Eyan having competed against the World Champion in the second round of the Junior Men's category.

Zaninotto won the 3rd heat of the second round with 15.56 points. Second place was claimed by Davey Anderson (Hawaiian) with 10.35 points. Eyan came in third with 8.15 points, with France's Christ Maëlan placing fourth with 8 points.

Eyan qualified for the second round after placing second in the 8th heat of the first round. He scored a total of 5.45 points after scoring 3.5 points in the last second of the heat. France's Yohann Bachelard placed first with 9.75 points.

Peruvian Lucciano Campos became the Junior Men's Champion after winning first in the final heat. He scored 11.15 points, with Mexico's Ilan Chouard coming in second with 10 points. Third place was claimed by Moroccan Moumou Hamza with 5.5 points.

Eyan was the only Maldivian bodyboarder to compete in the junior category.

Ali Khushruwan (Kuda Ayya), who is on the national bodyboarding team, Aamin Umar Moosa and Ashraf Hassan competed in the senior category.

Mohamed Kaif, who is also on the national bodyboarding team, was supposed to compete in the competition but was unable to due to a hand injury from a training session in Male'.
