Important point for Green to avoid automatic relegation

Club Green Streets secured an important point to avoid automatic relegation by equalizing 1-1 against Club Eagles.

Green Streets managed to secure the lead after 90 minutes, with Captain Rilwan Waheed's (Riley) corner allowing Uzbek defender Shukurali Pulatov to score a header.

However, Club Eagles was able to equalize in the 7th minute of extra time when Hisam Saleem (Kokky) scored with a through pass assist from Ismail Easa (Messi).

Green Streets had won their first match against Eagles by 3-2 with a last minute goal. But, the Iraqi forward Obaida Kadhim, who had scored the two goals to win them the game, is no longer in the club.

With last night's result, the Eagles now sit at 5th place on the leader board, with 23 points in 17 matches. Victory sits at 6th place with 21 points.

Green Streets currently sits at 8th place with 12 points from 17 matches. TC is in 7th place with 17 points.

The bottom two teams on the leader board will be relegated automatically, with 7th and 8th place having to participate in a relegation playoff.

Valencia is 9th on the league leader board with 8 points from 16 matches. United Victory (UV) is at the bottom (10th place) with 7 points.
