Beating Maldives with a 2-14 score in the final match, Bangladesh, undefeated, has risen to becoming the SAFF Women's Football Champions. 

This is the largest goal difference seen in any match in  the entire tournament. 

Despite missing Captain Fathimath Saliya through injury, Maldives struck first. Raniya Ibrahim intercepted a Bangladesh player's ball and fired at the goal; after a deflection by the goalkeeper and rebound off a defender, it found the net. 

Bangladesh equalized the score and took the lead with just five minutes left of the first half. Bangladesh then scored a series of goals one after the other, with the half ending with six goals to the team. 

Maldives sealed their second goal in the final 15 seconds of the match, with Mariyam Noora scoring off Aminath Fazla's assist. 

Maldives faced defeat in all six matches. However, the team did show improvement match after match. The biggest challenge they faced today was Captain Saliya's absence. 

The women's division, newly introduced this year, has two matches remaining to be played. Sri Lanka will meet India today, followed by Nepal playing against Bhutan. 

Bangladesh won all their matches and have accumulated 16 points. Bhutan is in the second spot, and also has not conceded a single match, having 11 points from five matches. India, which lost two matches, has 9 points. 

Nepal and Pakistan each have 7 points, while Sri Lanka has 4.
