Maziya still chasing league win

Maziya equalized against Buru Sports with a score of 1-1 in the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League, having them still chase the title of champion.

If Maziya had won that match, it would have assured them of the league win. However, Buru foiled that opportunity.

Maziya took the lead early in the match, with Buru equalizing in the first half.

Maziya forward Sergio Mendigutxia (Mendi) attempted to enter Buru's penalty box from the corner in the 13th minute, with him being stopped by a Buru defender.

Sergio passed the ball to Regan Obeng who was on the outside penalty line. The Ghanaian midfielder passed the ball backwards to Naiz Hassan (Dhaadhu), with him scoring with a one-touch shot.

Hodgson Diaz equalized for Buru in the 35th minute. Hodgson came into possession of a ball right outside the penalty box that was sent to him from their half. He dribbled into the area, with a Maziya defender attempting to reclaim the ball. Hodgson denied the defenders attempts and subsequently scored.
