TC has increased their point difference with their 2-0 win against Green Streets in the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League.

The relegation zone has teams that are in the bottom four of the league. The bottom two teams will be relegated to the Second Division automatically, with the 7th and 8th teams having to play a relegation playoff against four of the champion teams in Maldives' zones.

The three teams aside from TC in the relegation zone are close in terms of points. TC has a four point lead, with their win yesterday keeping them in 7th place with 12 points. Behind them are Green Streets and Valencia, with both teams having eight points. United Victory sit at the bottom of the league with seven points.

Each team still has a chance to catch up and move past the other, with three matches left per team.

Hussain Shareef Mohamed and Mohamed Dhanish Ibrahim scored the two goals for TC against Green Streets. The match ended after Green Streets captain Rilwan Waheed was given a red card.

The 16th week of the league will begin on Thursday. If Maziya wins their game against Buru Sports Club on Thursday, their league win as champions will be confirmed. New Radiant will be playing against the Eagles that same night as well.
