The Maldives women's national futsal team faced a setback in Thursday's match of the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship, losing to Nepal with a score of 5-0.
Nepal took an early lead in the 4th minute with a goal from Jenifer Rana. The lead was extended in the 11th minute by Bimala Chaudhary.
Less than a minute after that second goal, Jenifer Rana struck again to secure Nepal's third. Manisha Thapa Magar then added a fourth goal in the 18th minute.

Nepal’s fifth and final goal came in the second half following an own goal by Maldives’ Fathimath Saina.
In their opening match last Tuesday, Nepal had played out a 2-2 draw against Sri Lanka.
This tournament, currently being held at the Nonthaburi Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, has seen the Maldivian women's team concede a total of 16 goals across their two matches.
Following an 11-1 victory over the Maldives in the first game, India suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bangladesh yesterday.
