Opportunity to compete in Third Division now available

FAM has opened up the application window for the Third Division of football that has been scheduled for April 2026.

As per an announcement gazetted by FAM, the opportunity has been opened up to clubs, associations and communities registered to the Commissioner of Sports. Interested parties are to email FAM before 22nd January 3:00pm.

FAM stated that the tournament format will be decided once the number of teams have been finalized.

Under FAM's new league system, the Third Division is Male's league qualification round within Maldives' four regional leagues. The other three regional leagues are the North League, Central League and South League. Teams can qualify for the First Division or the Dhivehi Premier League as it has been named, through these regional leagues.
