The Eagles have cemented their foothold in the top six of the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League after beating TC Sports.
The Eagles won 2-0 in the match played at the national football stadium yesterday evening.
After the Eagles captain Ahmed Rizwan had been loaned out to Victory for MVR 100,000, the team's direction was set to hold their ground in the top six. Former national team and experienced player Shamweel Qasim (Bonda) was recruited to the team to fill Rizwan's position.

The top six teams of the league will be able to maintain their standing in the First Division. The teams that are below the top six will have to face a relegation stage. The 9th and 10th positions of the league will be relegated to the Second Division automatically. The other three teams will have to face off in a relegation playoff stage.
Finishing in the top six rid those teams of that situation.
With yesterday's win, the Eagles have secured 10 points while maintaining 6th place. There is a one-point difference between the Eagles and Victory, who are in 5th place.
Both of the Eagles goals were scored in the first half. The first goal was scored in the 42nd minute by Sierra Leone forward Ibrahim Lebe. Zain Zafar scored the second goal in the 45th minute, just three minutes after the first.
