U-14 FAM competitions announced for all academies to compete

FAM has announced an U-14 competition where all academies in Maldives can partake. 

As per FAM's statement that was released yesterday, club academies and academies registered to the Sports Commissioner's office can compete.

The deadline to register for the competition is 11th January, 3:00pm. After the relevant form has been filled, it is to be submitted to [email protected], as per FAM.

The competition is set to begin on 6th February.

Academies that are not registered to the FAM academy registry can also submit forms. FAM stated that once the forms have been submitted, the opportunity to fulfil accreditation criteria will be given.

FAM cooperated with Maldives Soccer Mates last year to establish the Dhivehi Youth League under league regulations which included three age ranges. The Dhivehi Youth League had an U-14 league as well.

This competition announced under FAM is, as per the association, is an important step in advancing Maldives' youth development football and grassroots football atop a stable framework.
