Victory has paid Eagles MVR 100,000 as transfer fee for forward Ahmed Rizwan (Rizey) who signed to Victory under a loan agreement.

Rizey, who was crowned the country's best player at the most recent Sports Awards, went to Victory while New Radiant was also making a bid to sign him on.

However, it was not the transfer fee that brought to an end to deliberations between Eagles and New Radiant. Mihaaru News reports that Eagles had proposed to transfer New Radiant's Ahmed Husam (Husaanko) to Eagles in exchange for signing over Rizey. New Radiant did not accept this, which brought the deliberations to a halt.

Rizey has signed for Victory until the end of this season. Once the season concludes, he will return to Eagles.

Eagles conditioned Victory that Rizey not be brought out to play in matches against the team. Victory has agreed to this. In the second round of the league set to start today, Victory's first match is against Eagles.

Victory has let go of former Syrian national team goal keeper Mahmood Al Youssef. Nepal's national team keeper Kiran Chemjong has been brought to replace him. Also new to the team is Slovakian forward Milos Lacny. Both Chemjong and Lacny have now joined Victory's practice sessions.
