Shahufa and Nihama's goals sees Maziya start off with a win

Maziya Sports has started off the FAM Women's League with a 2-0 win against Biss Buru Sports.

Maziya Sports forward Shahufa Shiuth and Nihama scored both the goals during yesterday's game held at Henveiru Stadium.

Shahufa's goal in the 58th minute secured their lead.

A handball by a Biss Buru Sports player in their penalty box awarded Maziya a penalty kick, with Shahufa subsequently scoring. Biss Buru goalkeeper Hawwa Shuhufaiha dove in the correct direction, but the ball went over her head and into the goal.

Nihama scored Maziya's second goal during extra time. Nihama entered Biss Buru's penalty box after dribbling past one of their defenders, with one of their players physically contesting Nihama. Nihama shot a low ball which went past the goalkeeper's hand and into the goal.

With this win, Maziya claims the second spot in the league leaderboard, with Victory being in first. Both teams have three points. Victory is in the lead due to a goal advantage of six.
