Maldives did not qualify for Group IV in Davis Cup

Maldives faced defeat at the hands of Group A's first place holders, Northern Mariana Islands, halting their progress into Group IV.

Maldives claimed three wins from three matches in the team event in Group V Asia/Oceania at the Davis Cup, rising to the top of Group D, securing their playoff game.

Maldives beat Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates and Macao, with hopes that they would qualify for the next division. This is the first time Maldives has won all their matches and claimed the number one spot. Maldives began competing in the Davis Cup in 2022.

However, Maldives lost to Northern Mariana Islands in three straight games. 

This result sees the Oceania nation be promoted to the next division. They will be competing in Group IV next year. Maldives are to start over at Group V next year.
