Aiham dropped from national team after leaving to play futsal tournament

Ahmed Aiham (Fatho) has been dismissed from the national football team due to leaving to play a futsal tournament after being included in the national squad.

National football team coach Mohamed Shiyaz (Mohan) included Maziya midfielder Aiham in his lineup against Philippines in the upcoming Asian Cup qualifiers.

The squad was announced yesterday, with team practice having gone underway in the evening.

Aiham was selected for the national team due to the team's center midfielder and Maziya player Ibrahim Aisam (Tony) suffering an injury.

FAM has revealed to the media that Aiham has been removed from the team.

FAM has stated that Aiham had participated in a futsal tournament after failing to attend practice with the national team. In the statement released by FAM last night, FAM said that Aiham had not let anyone know about the tournament ahead of time.

A replacement has not been chosen for Aiham.
