Young Valencia squad wins over experienced Victory

Valencia, a team that now has a younger squad has gained ground against Victory, a team brimming with experienced players.

Valencia beat Victory 1-0 today in the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League.

Victory went out onto the field in order to maintain their winning streak, having already won their last two games.

However, Victory did not manage to create any opportunities after conceding a goal to Valencia.

Captain Ethan Ibrahim Zaki, 16 years of age, led his team to victory, with him being made Player of the Match as well.

Ethan assisted Ahmed Athwan Ali in scoring the goal.

Athwan scored off of a free kick taken by Ethan outside by the box. Ethan sent the ball into the penalty area, where Athwan headed the ball to goal.

Athwan was able to head the ball in as Victory's Syrian goalkeeper Mahmood Al Yusuf stepped out of goal.

This win is counted as Valencia's second in the league. The team maintains hope that they will enter the top six in the leader board with 7 points.
